The InfraLight comes with a neck loop for use with hearing aids on a T setting. The unit is light to wear and is worn as shown.
This is the new LR model of InfraLight which also features a 3.5mm headphone socket on the base. This allows the user to choose (whether they wear hearing aids or not), their own way to listen. Hearing aid users can plug in stereo earhooks etc while non-hearing aid users can use headphones, earphones etc.
What will the InfraLight neckloop listener do for me?
The Infralight Neckloop Listener is used to help you listen more clearly to your TV, radio etc. when wearing hearing aid switched to the 'T' setting. It allows you to enjoy your TV etc at your own volume without disturbing others and without any trailling leads across the floor.
How does the InfraLight neckloop listener work?
The InfraLight Neckloop Listener consists of two parts: a mains powered transmitter and a receiver powered by a rechargeable battery. The transmitter picks up the sound from your TV and sends it to the neck loop receiver via an invisible infra red beam. You will receive the sound through your hearing aids switched to the 'T' setting. As this system transmits via infra red, the receiver must always be in the 'line of sight' of the transmitter i.e. in the same way as a remote control works with your TV. For this reason the transmitter is best placed either on top of or underneath your TV.
