The Infralight DIR has a steto type headset which hangs down from the ears and is suitable for those who do NOT wear hearing aids.

The transmitter can be set to mono or stereo. A fully charged battery will last up to 5 hours and has a recharge time of 16 hours. Up to three batteries may be charged at a time, one in the receiver when it rests in the cradle and two in the base unit.
The DIR version of the InfraLight steto features an updated design of ear tips. The fitted ear-pieces in the DIR version are made from soft silicone materal and fit the shape of the auditory canal. They also are positioned so they point directly into the ear, making them more comfortable to wear for prolonged periods ( see picture). The manufacturer's have also included a 'swing' function on the ear buds, allowing the steto to move freely, putting less strain on the ears.
The InfraLight DIR has an automatic 'click' on/off function. As the 'arms' of the steto are gently clicked outward to allow you to put the Infralight steto headset on, the power is activated. Again, as the arms are moved outwards to allow you to remove the headset, the power is 'clicked' off again.

What will the infralight headset listener do for me?

The Infralight Headset Listener is used to help you listen more clearly to your TV, radio etc. without any trailing leads across the floor. It allows you to enjoy your TV etc at your own volume without disturbing others.

How does the infralight headset listener work?

The Infralight Headset Listener consists of two parts, a mains powered transmitter and a receiver powered by a rechargeable battery. The transmitter picks up the sound from your TV and sends it to the headset receiver via an invisible infra red beam. As this system transmits via infra red the receiver must always be in the “line of sight” of the transmitter i.e the same way a remote control works with your TV. For this reason the transmitter is best placed either on top of or underneath your TV.
