Music workshop

Djanolgy Recital Hall,
Lakeside Arts Centre, Nottingham
Music is a gift in this noisy world, playing an
important role in the lives of many hearing
impaired people.
Cochlear Europe Ltd is delighted to announce
an exciting one day music workshop for
professionalsand recipients.
We welcome Richard Reed from the USA, as keynote
presenter for this workshop. Richard is a professional
musician who lost his hearing and after receiving a
cochlear implant, is enjoying performing and recording
his music again. Richard has worked with Cochlear to
share the music and materials that helped him to regain
his appreciation and enjoyment of music. This one
day workshop invites you to learn how to effectively
develop music appreciation and will dispel some of the
myths through practical tips, advice and theory.
The workshop is open to all teenagers and adults
who use Baha and cochlear implant devices as
well as professionals. Topics will include ’everyday
music tips’ and a lively interactive drumming
workshop for recipients hosted by the renown
Bigstixs group. Professionals will gain insights
into using HOPE notes to deliver music based
rehabilitation and training. A grand finale musical
performance will complete the event for all to
participate in and enjoy.
Participants will receive a complementary copy of
the HOPE notes package.
To register for the event please download the form at the bottom of the page.
